Fable: Sun and Moon

A long time ago, Sun the wolf dominated the sky. Every day, Sun illuminated the firmament until passed the half of day, after, he went to sleep in order to reload energy for next day.

A good day, while Sun was resting,  Moon the fox arrived for illuminate the sky. When Sun awaked and saw Moon in firmament, he covered it and caused the first solar eclipse. “Why can we not share the firmament?” Moon asked to Sun. But he angry responded: “I’m the owner and lord of the sky, no one can take my place, nor I go to share it with nobody”.

Sun blinded for rage, didn’t see that his beloved planet suffered for darkness and was beginning to fade. Moon tried to do understand to Sun her purpose there and it what was happening to the Earth. But he didn’t listen.

Past some days, Sun started to realize that something weren't well. He looked down to Earth and saw the result of his blindness. The plants were withering, the animals were hiding or wandering lost, water was freezing and ground was sooty. Sun was whining without know how can resolve that. Moon went to him and said: “That is the result of your selfishness. That happened when you're sleeping every night, I came here for this. We can solve it together, only you must let to me the moment on that you don’t be and when you wake up, I let you.”

Finally, Sun gave in and the life arrived to Earth. Thousand of animals and flowers originated for the arrival of Moon to firmament. Sun saw the joy in Earth, expressed its gratitude for the help to Moon and he learnt a great lesson.
